Planet Dirt

James had a creative writing assignment for school to describe an imaginary planet he would like to visit. The comments back from his teacher were "Very imaginative! Fun details! Nice Job!" The story is so fun, that James decided to share it with everyone by having me post it here on our blog. Enjoy!

DIRT

Dirt is my planet. I am planning to travel to Dirt in a giant cupcake that has sprinkles all over on top of the purple frosting. A little known fact about my cupcake is you can shrink it and eat it once the trip is done. What's pretty cool about traveling in the cupcake, is it only takes a few seconds because it's a teleporter.

It's so icy here on planet Dirt, it's a good thing I remembered to bring my favorite ice skates with me. And, oh! look over there, and ooh there, it's a Zamboni. Everyone on planet Dirt owns a Zamboni to drive from place to place and constantly smooth the ice as they go. Besides owning Zamboins, everyone also snowboards and plays hockey, all day, every day.

All the people on planet Dirt live in igloos and yes they do have a furnace with 16 layers of ice. The all so popular Anakin shrub grows on the icy side of Dirt. The shrub glows green, blue, and red at night. It's very, very hard to sleep at night with all that light!

On the other side of Dirt it's 99,548,455,285,275 inches too close to the sun, so it's very hot. That side is where all the weird aliens live. Cool trees live on the hot side and the buildings look like swiss cheese, they have lots of holes in them. I think they look like hotels. The cool planet, Dirt, is angular with 13,534,863,156,485,631,863,156,341,853,146,145,641,536,456 sides. What's pretty weird is you can walk off the planet because gravity is weird.

The only thing to eat and buy on the planet is chocolate milk and canned peaches. The milk is $5 a bottle, but the peaches are $1 million a can and are shipped from other planets. So, most people just live on chocolate milk.

This planet also has flying purple cows, winged dolphins that can't fly, and the fabulous winged horse that kids like to ride to school! It's also very windy here, so kids crash a lot when riding their horses to school.

One time the aliens came over to the icy side and started a big war. To stop them the winged hippos came and shot all of them with bazookas. The bazookas shoot big, long icicles.

Because Dirt is my favorite place, I decided to stay on Dirt forever and died on Dirt. All of my friends came to my funeral, which was more like a giant party. After I died the planet flipped over and then it flipped over again and no one could find my grave.
